About CAN’T CLOTHING
CAN’T CLOTHING’s aesthetics incorporate a juxtaposition of high and low-end, as the design concepts are a reflection of our buying culture, playing to the fact that: “No-one buys just one brand”. With heavy reference to pop culture, popular designs are often reinterpreted in ways outside of what can be seen as ‘conventional’ – an adjective that the brand steers far away from.
About the designer: MR CAN’T
Mr Can’t is a self-taught designer and stylist with 14 years of experience in design and fashion. Deeply inspired by Margiela’s approach to design, where people identify with a product without feeling a certain way about having a face to a brand, he wishes to remain anonymous to keep all eyes on his creations.
From the humble beginnings of selling screen print designs out of his garage in high school, Mr Can’t soon became a familiar face at local selling events. He became an overnight sensation when he was discovered at DunkxChange – a sneaker exchanging event – where his
unconventional designs built a cult following in the underground sneaker community. After a long stint working with major streetwear brands and armed with a growing circle of connections from the likes of Halsey, Tyga, Post Malone, Mr Can’t now focuses on his label, CAN’T CLOTHING, and consults for various brands and businesses worldwide.
